College Magazine and Newsletter
A Student and Staff editorial board for SCOPE is active round the session.
A college Magazine and periodic Newsletters are offered in which voices of students
find expression. Students can write and share the issues they feel strongly about
and can thus form different communities to discuss any other societal issues.
Co-Curricular Activities
 Besides academics, students are encouraged to participate
in co-curricular and extra curricular activities that are spread over the entire
academic calendar. Regular workshops for dance and music, free hand sketching and
theater are organized in the college campus. Debates, quiz, seminars, group discussions
and other cultural activities help in exploring the hidden talent of students. Activities
are organized in such a way that students can balance their time between studies
and co-curricular activities.
Games and Sports
Sports bring a strong sense of discipline in students and help them in organizing
their life independently. Sports also instill a team spirit among students. In addition
to adequate facilities for indoor games, extensive and well laid out play grounds
will be made available soon for out-door games with all amenities. Cricket, Volleyball,
Football, Badminton, Chess and Carrom are being organized by the experts in their
respective fields.
The Tutor-Guardian Scheme
The Tutor-Guardian Scheme operates to benefit all students of the College. Under
this system about 10 students are placed under the guidance of one member of the
teaching staff. The teaching staff acts as tutor and guardian for these students
and looks after their needs and difficulties. The tutor-guardian solves students’
problems, initiates student-tutor interactions as frequently as possible and assists
them in all spheres. By these activities, the college aims to develop qualities
of good citizenship within the alumni. Attendance of the students in the meetings
called by their tutor-guardian is compulsory. Tutor-guardian also interacts with
parents for direct counseling and appraisal.
Cultural Clubs and College Band
To encourage and holistically groom students, various Clubs like Dramatic Club,
Music Club, College Band, Hobby Club, Photography and Video Club have been instituted
at SCOPE. The College organizes various events round the year, to keep the session
full of activities and events. A state level techno-cultural annual event is organized
every year where all engineering colleges of MP participate.
Proctor Committee
The Proctor committee is constituted to supervise and maintain an overall welfare
and discipline of students. All cases of student's indiscipline is looked into by
this committee and suitable reformatory actions are taken in the concerned matter
whenever required.
